Brian Whitman

Listeners may confuse funnyman Brian Whitman for a stand-up comedian when they tune-in to his energetic and upbeat show on 77WABC.

Whitman, a Staten Island native, delves into current news topics, politics, pet peeves and issues that irritate him in a tongue-and-cheek manner, accompanied by antics, celebrity voice impersonations, levity and lots of humor. Whitman has little tolerance for the impractical, insensible and for those lacking in common sense. He rallies people to call in to express their views on events taking place in the community and debates callers on relevant issues where he sees facts have been overlooked. His wit, keen insights and clever observations make listening as entertaining as a night out at your favorite comedy club.

In addition to his work as a radio talk show host on WABC and on KLSX FM in Los Angeles, Brian operates a very successful nationally syndicated radio comedy service supplying celebrity impressions and original characters to morning radio shows across America. Brian's comedy has been heard on WABC's Curtis and Kuby Show. Whitman also makes morning radio audiences laugh in Los Angeles, Dallas and Boston.

Brian is also heard each week by millions of listeners on The Sean Hannity Show.  Brian does ALL of the voices on the very popular "Week in Review" comedy segment.  He is also heard nationwide on the syndicated Glenn Beck Program.

Brian enhances his talk show with dead-on impressions of newsmakers including both George Bush's, Michael Jackson, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Joe Lieberman and Ed Koch, just to name a few.

Brian studied political science at Wagner College and calls politics "the greatest show on Earth." Brian has gotten in on the act once or twice himself. In 1994, Brian placed a memorable phone call to Dan Quayle. Doing his best Bill Clinton impression, Brian had a three minute conversation with the former Vice President. Brian never thought it would go that far and let Quayle know that he wasn't the leader of the free world before politely ending the call.

More recently, Brian experienced the outrageous side of politics when he became the first radio talk show host in America (as far as we know) to be spat upon live on the air by a candidate for Governor of California. The Libertarian hopeful didn't appreciate Brian's opposition to driver's licenses for non-citizens and showed his disagreement in a most unusual way.

Brian has acted professionally, done many commercial voiceovers and has performed on network television. Brian has also appeared on CNN, Fox News and CNBC.

Brian has been a part of our WABC family since 1997, when he made history as the youngest talk show host in our history, coming onboard as our all night host at age 24!

Brian is thrilled to be heard every Sunday night on the radio station he grew up listening to - 77 WABC.
