Travel Show Live with Erik Hastings is the first travel show of its kind in the history of WABC Radio in New York! This unique and unprecedented show provides two hours jam packed with information, entertainment, and fun designed to help you plan your next trip.
Hosted by Erik Hastings, this fast-paced show features celebrity interviews, expert tourism guests, live auctions, travel giveaways, and Erik's personal take on destinations and the travel industry. All to help you experience the potentially life-changing positive power of travel.
The show has been airing live Sunday from 2 until 4 pm ET on 77 WABC. as of March 1, 2010, the show will be on hiatus from the WABC line up until mid-summer. However, you can still get you “travel fix” every day by stopping by the TSL show page at http://www.wabcradio.com. There you will find his daily podcast, and other relevant travel information and opinion.
Erik Hastings has worked with WABC-NY for over 10 years. He has worked directly with legendary talent such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Curtis Sliwa, and Phil Boyce. Beginning in the Spring of 2005, Erik Hastings began producing "Travel Minutes" airing weekdays on WABC Radio. These short-form audio "minutes" were conceived by Erik to tie commercial brand names with credible travel information. Because of the commercial success of this series, Erik was asked to create a long-form show to air on the weekends. In the fall of 2006, "The Travel Show" debuted on Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm EST
WABC's Erik Hastings is on a mission to get consumers traveling more often, staying longer and experiencing the life-changing benefits of travel. He is the host of The Travel Show on WABC-New York (since 2006) and this serves as the platform for his positive travel message. In addition to WABC, The Travel Show is syndicated nationally with Talk Radio Network. He has also developed a new style of destination overview videos that feature his distinct and approachable style. His videos have been recognized as the gold standard in the industry and commissioned by the official tourism bureaus of New Orleans, Boston, New York State (just to name a few). Erik is the natural choice to host the show.
